In Pastor Megan’s sermon she dug into the passage about the Woman at the Well in John 4:1-30. She identified the four phases that the woman at the well experienced in her encounter with the Living Water.

Conversation-During the conversation, the woman learned who Jesus was and what He had come to do. His conversation with her revealed His desire for all to be saved.

The Offer-Jesus made her an offer that she couldn’t refuse. He offered her Living Water that would banish her thirst completely. God offers that same gift of eternal life to all, and it is something we shouldn’t refuse.

Conviction-Jesus boldly and lovingly pointed out the woman’s sinful lifestyle. He saw her for what she truly was and had compassion and mercy on her. Conviction helps us understand that we are in need of a Savior.

Conversion. The interaction between Jesus and the Woman at the Well had an impact on her through the knowledge Jesus had about her and through the piercing power of His words.

The woman went back to her whole town to testify to the Living Water that had just flowed into her life. We live in a hurting world that is in need of Living Water. Let’s experience it and share it with all we meet!
