Daniel Burko

Youth Pastor

Now, more than ever, the younger generation faces a dilemma second to none: How do they own their faith in the modern world? Since I was a kid, I have been obsessed with Jesus, church and everything that came with it, but I also was passionate about sports, pop culture and having fun in life. At “Move Student Ministries” your child will have an opportunity to learn about Jesus in a way that prepares them to take their faith into every aspect of their world. Our goal is that every student that comes into Move Ministries will feel 100% loved, valued, accepted, and known. By the time they graduate, we pray every student will be equipped with the essentials to go into college or the workforce being confident in their relationship with Jesus.

At “Move Student Ministries” your child will be taught Biblical truth, experience personal worship, and be on the receiving end of true discipleship, all while having a good time. We have services on Wednesday nights at 6:45 pm that consist of a sound biblical message, an inspiring time of worship, a small group experience that provides them with a community of students in the same shoes they are in, and plenty of games and food! We also have a Sunday School class that takes place on Sunday mornings at 9 am where we get back to the basics with traditional Bible stories. My wife, Alexis, who serves as my right hand in ministry, has a heart for young girls growing up in this new age. We both feel so excited to be in ministry for “such a time as this.” (Esther 4:14b)

– Pastor Daniel

Daniel Burko grew up in a Church of God Pastor’s home and is a 4th generation Church of God Pastor. Daniel received a call to ministry in the summer between the 9th and 10th grade and has pursued that call ever since. Daniel has served on numerous leadership teams across the nation including the International Youth Convention Student planning team for the Church of God. Daniel graduated from Mid-America Christian University in May 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Ministry Leadership. Daniel also met his wife, Alexis, during college. Daniel, being the avid sports fan he is, attended 99% of Alexis’ basketball games in which she was a 3-time NAIA All-American. After working at MACU for a year, Daniel and Alexis decided to pursue their calling to ministry together. Daniel and Alexis love to play games, watch their favorite shows and movies, and eat good food! They find no greater joy than serving God together in many different capacities.
