Happy Monday Church!
What a great day in the Lord yesterday!  Two people celebrated their new birth in Christ by lighting candles, and we had about 45 visitors in the first service with our Boy Scouts.
Using Esther 4:10-16, I spoke about the need to routinely take a STEP BACK through prayer and fasting to seek God’s face.  In that place of self-sacrifice our spiritual sensitivities are heightened and we can find God’s direction for what is next and experience His courage and power to walk it out.
Once we have taken a STEP BACK we can STEP UP to any challenge.  Esther risked her life when she went to the King to tell him about Haman’s plot to assassinate the Jews living in the Persian Empire.  Just one courageous person’s efforts provided deliverance for a whole nation!
Verse 14 was our key verse:  “And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”
God strategically placed Esther in the palace as Queen of Persia so that she could meet the moment of challenge with courage and faith.  She didn’t miss her appointed moment to be used of God.  God has strategically placed you wherever you are because He intends to use you there.  Don’t miss your moments!  Seek God and go into your appointed moments with boldness.  YOU CANNOT FAIL!
I hope to see each of you Wednesday for our Ash Wednesday service!  What will you be fasting this Lenten season in order to seek more of God?
Blessings,

Pastor Melissa
