Dear Church,
As you probably know by now, Pastor Thom and I are in Oklahoma City, OK for the North American Convention of the Church of God. This historic meeting is unique for at least two reasons:
1. This is the first time in my lifetime that our Convention hasn’t been held in our headquarters of Anderson, IN.
2. This is the first time in my lifetime that our General Director has issued the challenge for each Church of God to come together and
focus on one central project over the next year. It is the issue of human trafficking.
Thom and I have sat through services under the worship leading of: Sidewalk Prophets, Sandi Patty and her family, Alana Story, and Ashmont Hill. We have heard the preaching of Jim Lyon, Dave Stone, Anne Graham Lotz, Michael Thigpen, Diana Swoope, and Reggie McNeal.
We have been challenged by our General Director to lead our churches to bold in the name of Jesus to CHANGE THE WORLD! We are coming home excited and bolder than ever to lead the charge at TVCOG!
Pray us home as we will be traveling Thursday and Friday. I look forward to returning to the pulpit this Sunday with a fresh Word from the Lord!
