Dear TVCOG Family,
What an amazing “Voices of Praise” worship concert coupled with baptisms and our children leading us in worship on Sunday night! Praise God for the salvation of a young lady during the concert!
On Sunday morning I spoke about the Blood of Christ.
Leviticus 17:11: “For the life of the flesh is in the blood and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.”
I Peter 1:18-19 “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
Christ’s blood is PRECIOUS. Like our physical blood, it impacts every area of our lives. It removes the toxin of sins and gives us spiritual life.
It is PRESCRIPTIVE in that it is the remedy for our sin problem. Hebrews 9:22 tells us, “Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin.” The Blood of Christ is the medicine we need it we are to be forgiven.
The Blood of Jesus is also POWERFUL. Through the Blood we can have deliverance and protection from Satan. “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:13
You can plead the blood of Jesus over any circumstance in your life and have confidence that Satan and the powers of darkness must flee (Rev. 12:11).
Luke 22:20 tells us Jesus’ Blood is intensely PERSONAL! “This cup is the New Covenant in my blood which is poured out FOR YOU.”
Jesus has come as close to you and me as He can. We must decide what we will do with His blood. Have you let Jesus wash and make you clean? The Blood of Jesus deserves our utmost respect and heart’s devotion. Thank God today for the Blood of Christ and how Jesus’ sacrifice enables you to be at one with God!
We are still receiving funds from Sunday’s special offering. To date the approximate total of funds received is $22,000.00! We are well on our way to taking the next step! If you weren’t in church Sunday and would like to contribute, please mark your check or envelope “special offering for engineering costs.” I hope to be able to share a total next week in my e-vitation.
