Dear Church,
On behalf of the staff, let me say “thanks” for a great “Pastor Appreciation” month which culminated in a reception on Sunday night. It is a blessing to serve such an encouraging church. I am blessed to work with hard-working staff and your appreciation will go a long way to encourage them to continue giving their very best.
On Sunday I spoke about our “hands on” God who got His hands dirty throughout Scripture.
1. When He created Adam
2. When He created Eve
3. When He killed an animal to atone for their sin
4. When He wrote in the dirt and extended grace to the woman caught in adultery
5. When He made a mud pie out of dirt and put it on the eyes of a blind man
6. When He stooped down to wash His disciples’ dirty feet
7. When He laid down to be crucified and blood flowed from His nail-pierced hands.
When God gets down and dirty, He gives people life, forgiveness, grace, opportunity to choose a different life, all kinds of healing both physical and spiritual, salvation and in the case of washing the disciples’ feet, He got His hands dirty to show us that serving is the way to truly live.
Are you in God’s hands?
Please be in prayer for the annual business meeting this Sunday night! It is our one time each year to share what God has done, is doing, and what we are planning for 2013.
I hope to see you Wednesday!
God’s best to you!
Pastor Melissa
