Yesterday was an amazing day!  One salvation.  Three re-dedications!  Record attendance for a non-special emphasis Sunday!  360 people in worship on the day we LOST an hour of sleep!  Do you think God is moving in our midst?

We looked at King Hezekiah’s life from II Chronicles 29:1-11.  From there we saw three things Hezekiah knew how to do:

He knew how to MOVE ON from his past.  He grew up the son of a lousy, evil man who modeled everything a person shouldn’t do if they are going to get moving for God (see II Chron. 28:19ff)

Hezekiah didn’t live as a victim of his past.  He didn’t make excuses and therefore live a mediocre life!  He chose to live differently than he had been taught.  You too can move beyond the pain of your past so that you can thrive in the present, have a beautiful future and do big things for God!

Hezekiah knew not only how to move on, but he knew how to MOVE OUT!  Look at II Chronicles 29:3ff:  “In the first month of the first year of his reign, he opened the doors of the temple of the LORD and repaired them. 4 He brought in the priests and the Levites, assembled them in the square on the east side 5 and said: “Listen to me, Levites! Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the temple of the LORD, the God of your fathers. Remove all defilement from the sanctuary.

Hezekiah implemented change immediately!  Don’t procrastinate!  Make whatever changes God is calling for TODAY!

Finally, Hezekiah knew how to MOVE BIG.  He didn’t just try to improve things.  He completely overhauled the practices of the Israelites.  He tore down the altars, Ashtoreth poles and high places that were devoted to pagan gods. He re-opened the doors of the temple which his father had shut, and he got to work on repairing them. That meant offerings could resume.  That meant worship could resume.  He had a heart to heart talk with the leaders.  He told them of their responsibility to repent and get right with God.  He talked to them about cleansing the sanctuary and consecrating themselves.  He led in a big way!

II Chronicles 29:2 tells us Hezekiah’s did what was right in the eyes of the Lord.  Could someone write that same sentence about your life today?  Do you need to move on from your past?  Do you need to quit procrastinating?  God is urging you to live big for Him.

I hope to see you Wednesday!  Keep fasting and believing God for miracles!  Keep getting the word out about our two services which begin on Easter!  Let’s fill the house twice from Easter forward!

To God be the glory!
