Midweek Prayer
What are you doing at noon on Wednesdays? Why not join Pastor Melissa in the sanctuary for a half hour of intercessory prayer?
Community Thanksgiving Service-Tuesday, November 22nd
Join area churches for a Community Thanksgiving Service to be held at First Baptist in Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. The evening will feature the leadership of several churches (including ours!) and a mass choir. Choir practice begins that night at 6:00 p.m. Please bring canned goods for the Community Cupboard. There will be NO Wednesday evening activities at TVCOG the following night, so this service takes the place of our regular midweek activities.
COUNTY-WIDE THANKSGIVING LUNCH
The county-wide Thanksgiving lunch will be on Tuesday, November 15th at Sleepy Hollow at 11:30. Tickets can be purchased through the Chamber of Commerce by calling 304-757-6510. Chet Marshall is the speaker.
It’s a Wonder-Full Life
The Children’s Christmas Musical will take place November 27th at 6 p.m. Start inviting family and friends. The mandatory rehearsal for the musical is Saturday, November 26th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. All students need to be at this rehearsal, if you are unable to attend please see Pastor Wendy.
WV State Youth Convention 2011 – November 11-13
SYC will take place on November 11-13 in Charleston at the Civic Center (small theater). The cost is $138.00 if received by TODAY and $168.00 if received after that. Cost covers registration, lodging (Holiday Inn) and t-shirt. Registration forms for junior/senior high, college and those wanting to try for the State Leadership Team are in the lobby and are also on the church website at www.tvcog.org/ministries/youth.
